Kashmir High Altitude Trek Experience
The Kashmir High Altitude Trek is designed for adventure enthusiasts who want to experience the raw, untouched beauty of the Himalayan wilderness. This 8-day guided trek takes you through some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the entire subcontinent.
The route traverses alpine meadows, coniferous forests, glacial moraines and high mountain passes, passing through remote shepherd settlements (dhoks) where the Bakarwal nomads graze their flocks. Highlights include the Great Lakes of Kashmir (Vishansar, Krishansar, Gadsar and Gangabal), the magnificent Harmukh massif and the pristine glacial tarns above 4,000 metres.
All treks are led by certified mountain guides with first-aid training. Camping equipment, sleeping bags and tents are provided. The trek difficulty is moderate-to-strenuous and basic fitness is required.
